One of the distinguished Azerbaijan ashugs who lived
and created at the end of XIX and in the beginning of
XX century is Mullah Juma. Mullah Juma is his
nickname. He has never been Mullah (Moslem
ecclesiastic). He was called Mullah because of his
knowledge and education.
